Waterford Institute of Technology celebrate 35th Anniversary in style
Over 300 staff of Waterford Institute of Technology gathered in the Tower Hotel on Friday 8th April 2005 to celebrate the 35th year of the Institute. The event was run by the Institute Staff Social Club who decided to donate all proceeds from the night to our Ladies Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin. In attendance where Deputy Mayor Mary Roche, Deputy Chair of the Institute Governing Body Jack Walsh, Institute Director Professor Kieran Byrne and John Fitzpatrick from our Ladies Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin. An auction kindly run by Anne and Rody Keighery was held during the night. The committee originally set out with a hopeful target of €10,000 and have now exceeded all expectations. The figure raised for Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin is currently at a staggering €17,685.34 and counting. Waterford Institute of Technology Staff Social Club would like to gratefully acknowledge the generosity of the following sponsors and contributors to tonight’s event.
Sam Mc Cauleys, Sculpting Studio, Black Tie and Fitzgeralds Menswear Thanks also to those members of staff who volunteered to help out on the organising committee. The night could not have been such a success without your help and involvement.
